Where can I get my Restaurant Card?

The restaurant card is integrated in your University card (student card & staff card) and must be activated at the SEVE (Service des Études et de la Vie Étudiante) to take advantage of student and staff rates at the various eating facilities. The restaurant card is automatically activated during the registration process.

Each restaurant card has an associated restaurant account operated by Restopolis.

You can add new credits on your restaurant account as follows:

• directly at the cashier's desk of the canteen or the cafeteria;
• directly online via the Restopolis website (www.restopolis.lu) with a minimum of 5€.

University students and staff have 2 options for loading their account online:

• by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or
• via Payconiq (formerly Digicash) mobile payment app.

The Login to be used in this case is "uni\matricule". The matricule is located on your University card.

Please do not forget to accept the General Terms and Conditions!

Please note that there is no need to enter a password to load your account. Thus it is possible to load the restaurant account of somebody else if you know his “matricule”.

• by using the Restoplis Android or iOS App.

To load your account through the Restopolis App, the App must be associated with your restaurant account. To do this, ask for a printout of a QR code at the cashier’s desk, scan this code with the App in order to associate your account to the App.

In case your student card is lost or stolen, you will be charged 11€ to get a new University Student Card.

Where can I find restaurants?

Below is a list of the restaurants located on the various campuses of the University. You can locate them on the Restopolis restaurants map.

Belval Campus

The eating facilities on Belval Campus offer various menus at:

• "Food House" (near the Maison du Savoir/House of Knowledge), where you can buy drinks, menus, hot and cold starters, hot main dishes, vegetarian food, desserts and a complete garden fresh salad bar: you can eat on site or take away!
• "Food Café" (on the first floor of the Maison du Savoir/House of Knowledge), where you can buy drinks, menus and snacks to take away.
• "Food Lab" (on the ground floor of the Maison des Sciences Humaines/House of the Humanities), where you can buy drinks, menus and snacks you can eat on site or take away.
• "Food Zone" (on the ground floor of the Maison de l’Innovation/House of Innovation), where you can buy drinks, starters, hot main dishes, vegetarian food you can eat on site or take away.

Meals : 11.30 - 14.00

Kirchberg Campus

• Restaurant Altius (on the ground floor of the main building, D building, at 6, rue Richard Koudenhove-Kalergi, L-1359 Luxembourg-Kirchberg)
• Brasserie John's (29, avenue J.F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg)

Cafeteria and takeaway food: 7.30 - 14.30
Meals : 11.30 - 14.00

Limpertsberg Campus 

The self-service restaurant "Um Weier" (on the first floor of the main building, in its right wing) is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. You can buy drinks, menus, starters, hot main dishes, desserts, sandwiches and salads, to eat on site or take away.

Meals : 11.20 - 14.00
